MCKS Vidya Study Centre
To address the gap in education caused by the disruption due to Covid, we set up the first MCKS Vidya Study Centre in February 2022. The MCKS Vidya study centres conduct free remedial tuition classes daily. Replicating a regular school atmosphere, classes in key subjects are conducted by a team of dedicated, professional educators in a school like setting. Underprivileged students from classes 5 to 10 are given free tuition in a formalised & systematic manner in hired school premises.
We aim to enhance and upgrade the level of education imparted to underprivileged children to foster their mental & emotional growth. The students are aided to overcome challenges, realize their true potential and become self reliant.
Currently, we have two centres running in Delhi:
- MCKS Vidya Centre at Alaknanda
- MCKS Vidya Centre at Arya Samaj Mandir in Vasant Vihar
We are in the process of replicating this model at several other locations.
We enable over 500 Students to access
Education through various Education Programs Every Year
MCKS Vidya centres Odisha
We run 22 informal education centres in the hunger belts of Odisha and Jharkhand. Students come to these centres from the nearby villages and are given a basic education in literacy & numeracy.
For some students it’s the only school they can access. Others who are enrolled in local schools are assisted with their school work. They are served a freshly cooked meal daily.
Scholarships for Higher Education:
For the last 10 years we have collaborated with Janki Devi Memorial College to sponsor the education of female students from EWS backgrounds for graduate studies. So far over 200 students have received our scholarships.
